Welcome to Yolanda’s Spirit Drums — A Sacred Space for Sound, Soul, and Transformation

For over three decades, I walked the sacred path of drum making—crafting not just instruments, but vessels of Spirit, healing, and ancestral connection. Each drum I created was a prayer, a bridge between Earth and sky, made with intention, reverence, and love. Now, as this sacred chapter comes to a close, I step into a new becoming—one rooted in teaching, storytelling, and guiding others along their own spiritual paths.

Though I no longer make drums, the final pieces in my shop remain, each one infused with ceremony and waiting for the soul they are meant to serve. And while the tools of creation shift, the medicine continues.

Today, my work flows through monthly drum circles, where community gathers in rhythm and remembrance. I offer a Spirit Drum Making Apprenticeship for those called to learn the deeper wisdom of the drum. I host a soul-led podcast, sharing stories, ancestral insight, and spiritual guidance. And I’m currently writing my second book, a love letter to Spirit and a legacy for the generations to come.

    Every third Saturday from 1-3pm at Unitarian Universalist Church in Las Cruces.

  • Want to be a drum maker and have your own business?  Learn the ageless process of manufacturing, honoring and selling these beautiful Yolanda drums. This certification consists of a week long in-person training.

  • Yolanda brings her passion for music and drums to Native American conferences and festivals nationwide, sharing the rhythms and cultural significance of her handcrafted instruments. She also participates in book signings, lectures, and women's circles. Through interactive talks, workshops, and performances, she inspires and connects communities, celebrating shared heritage and spirit.
