Welcome to Yolanda’s Spirit Drums — A Sacred Space for Sound, Soul, and Transformation

For over three decades, I have walked the sacred path of drum making—crafting not just instruments, but vessels of Spirit, healing, and ancestral connection. Each drum I create is a prayer… a bridge between Earth and sky… shaped with intention, reverence, and love.

This path continues to unfold.

While my hands still honor the sacred art of drum making, my work has deepened into teaching and guiding others who feel called to this medicine. The drum is not just something I create—it is something I pass on.

Today, my work flows through monthly drum circles, where we gather in rhythm, remembrance, and community. I offer a Spirit Drum Making Apprenticeship for those who are ready to step into the deeper wisdom of the drum—learning not only how to build it, but how to carry its spirit with integrity and devotion. And I am currently writing my second book—a love letter to Spirit and a legacy for the generations to come.

This space is more than a website. It is a living altar for connection, healing, and truth.

  • Join Yolanda each month for a powerful and heart-opening drum circle where rhythm becomes ritual, and community becomes medicine. These gatherings are more than just music — they are a sacred space to reconnect with your soul, with Spirit, and with each other.

    Every third Saturday from 1-3pm at Unitarian Universalist Church in Las Cruces.

  • Want to be a drum maker and have your own business?  Learn the ageless process of manufacturing, honoring and selling these beautiful Yolanda drums. This certification consists of a week long in-person training.

  • Yolanda brings her passion for music and drums to Native American conferences and festivals nationwide, sharing the rhythms and cultural significance of her handcrafted instruments. She also participates in book signings, lectures, and women's circles. Through interactive talks, workshops, and performances, she inspires and connects communities, celebrating shared heritage and spirit.
